Job Title: Strategic Accounts Manager
Education: BS in Environmental Geology, University of Vermont
Licenses: Licensed Professional Geologist in New Hampshire
Rob has seven years experience in the drilling industry and seventeen years in consulting and drilling. After graduating with a BS in environmental geology from the University of Vermont, Rob spent ten years in environmental consulting managing subsurface characterization for sites across New England and New York. These site characterizations would often lead to remediation pilot testing, design, and occasional implementation. Both the characterization and remediation involved techniques that were common at the time; advancement of soil borings, installation of monitoring wells with conventional drill rigs, collection of appropriate samples for off-site laboratory analyses, and limited flow studies estimated primarily from “slug test” data. This data, combined with known site operational history, supported conceptual site models to aid in remediation design. In 2009, Rob entered the drilling industry and was exposed to an incredible array of characterization tools and remediation methods beyond what he had used in the past. His true job satisfaction comes with successfully matching Cascade’s myriad of tools and services with customer objectives. Rob’s non-working hours are spent raising his two toddlers, playing occasional Saturday “old boy” rugby matches, and imagining lofty renovations to his home in southern New Hampshire.
